Persistent rain force Bangladesh A and Windies to settle for a draw

Rain interrupted the penultimate day of the opening four-dayer between Bangladesh A and West Indies A team on Sunday.


As a result, the match ended as a draw without any ball being bowled on the last day of the match.  The hosts resumed the day three on 165-3 and ended on 263-5 at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Captain Joshua Da Silva converted his 14 overnight into 43 while Tevin Imlach pushed his unbeaten 23 at the start to 36.


At the close, Alick Athanaze was unbeaten on 30 and partnered by Yannic Cariah on 18. For Bangladesh, Khaled Ahmed picked up two wickets. 


Bangladesh scored 167 in the first innings with skipper Mohammad Mithun's highest-scorer 50 runs.
