Bangladesh Cricket Board [BCB] will host its first Annual General Meeting since the 2021 election at a hotel in Dhaka tomorrow [Tuesday]. The latest BCB AGM was conducted ahead of the 2021 election, and as a result, the gathering generated a lot of buzz.
This time, however, there is little discussion about the event save for the important agenda items that will be discussed during the meeting.

The main agenda item will be a discussion on amending the constitution to allow for the approval of the long-promised Regional Cricket Association for the development of the country's cricket.

“We will first need to amend the constitution in order to establish regional cricket structure. Nothing is mentioned in the BCB constitution on regional cricket. So, it is not possible to establish something new if not mentioned in the constitution. So, we will an approval on this from the general body,” said BCB media committee chairman Tanvir Ahmed Titu to the media on Monday.
“If the matter gets approved in the in the AGM, then we will need to have a detailed discussion on the how to establish the Regional Cricket Associations,” the BCB director added.
