The Walton-BSJA Sports Carnival-2022 organized by the Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA), an organization of professional sports journalists, started on Thursday.

The carnival involving seven disciplines raised its curtain with table tennis today.

Sohanuzzaman Khan Nayan, a freelancer, won the Walton-BSJA Sports Carnival table tennis singles title, defeating Dhaka Tribune's Fazley Rabbi Moon in the final at the National Sports Council in the capital.

The chief guest during the inauguration of the sports carnival was FM Iqbal Anwar Don, senior executive director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries.

Bangladesh national TT team coach Mohammad Ali, five-time national TT champion Sonam Sultana Soma, Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association president Sayeeduzzaman, general secretary Anisur Rahman, tournament committee convenor Raihan Mahmood and member secretary Robiul Islam Robi were also present among others.
