Shakib al Hasan, who is back in the role of captain after a lengthy period off the Test side, hailed his fast bowlers and the series experience opened his eyes to possibilities despite a 10-wicket defeat in the second Test against West Indies.
The visitors were whitewashed in the two-match series and also became part of an unfavorable record as Bangladesh became the quickest to 100 Test defeats.
Throughout the test series, Bangladesh's batters succumbed, gave away their wickets, and were regularly exposed by short deliveries.

Bangladesh's management has a lot on its plate, particularly with the batting department, considering the team's persistent batting woes. The impatience and attitude of the batters had a big impact on both Test matches.

The bowlers, on the other hand, fought bravely despite the fact that their efforts were not accurately reflected on the scoreboard.
"We have a long break before our next Test series so we need to take the positives, especially the encouraging performances of our fast bowlers, and make sure we are ready in five months' time," Shakib said.
"We need to be mentally tougher in our batting to compete with the best teams in the world, but our greatest improvement in the last three-four years has been with our fast bowlers. So while the fast bowlers are working really hard and getting the results, we need to improve overall as a team to be more competitive in Test cricket away from home" he added.
Both sides now adjust for the white-ball formats with the three-match T20 International series starting next Sunday in Dominica after which they will meet in three One-Day Internationals.
“We will be very competitive in white-ball cricket. We will put on a show in the ODIs and T20I” the Test captain said in the presentation.
