Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam was disappointed to miss the West Indies Test series, owing to an injury he suffered during the Sri Lanka series. However, Shoriful was excited to be part of the white-ball series.
“I am very excited that I’m going to the West Indies. Honestly, I really wanted to play the West Indies Test series. Unfortunately, it did not happen due to injury. Inshallah, when I get the next opportunity, I will try,” said Shoriful.
Shoriful further said that he never felt challenged to play with Mustafizur Rahman and believes the one who plays well will be in the team.

“We are always like friends, never took him as a challenge. We practice together, whoever plays well gets to play in the team. So we don't think about it, who will play or not,” he added.
Bangladesh are set to play the first Test at Antigua from June 16 till 20th before playing the second Test at St. Lucia from June 24.
The white ball segment of the series against West Indies begins with T20Is and the first two T20Is will be played in Dominica on 2 and 3 July respectively while the third will be played in Guyana on 7 July.
Three ODIs are also scheduled in Guyana on 10, 13, and 16 July.
