Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has renewed the contract with the current selection panel, which has Minhajul Abedin, Habibul Bashar and Abdur Razzak.
The current selection panel will remain until the 2023 World Cup. Two more will be associated with them soon.

After a board meeting on Thursday BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon has briefed to media at Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium premises in Mirpur.

“One of the topics on our agenda was the selection panel of the national team. So now there are three member on our panel. We asked Cricket Ops (Cricket Operations) to recommend new names. They couldn't do that, they couldn't find anyone new for the job,” Papon said.
“Operations, however, has suggested that the current panel's term to extend until next year's World Cup (2023 World Cup). We will make some arrangements in this. So just added to it, two more selectors will be added” he added.
The board president explained the reason for adding two new members to the selection panel. Papon said that there are a lot of age-level games in Bangladesh and it’s hard to handle for the three members of the current panel. However, the board chairman did not confirm which two are going to be added.
“We have a lot of games. Even in age-level cricket, it is not possible for them (the current panel) to see all the games. Because our national team have so many games. That's why we will include two more,” he concluded.
