Former Bangladesh pacer Syed Rasel has been appointed as the head coach of the Cricket Academy of Detroit in Michigan, United States of America. On June 26th, he will fly to the United States, Rasel confirmed Cricfrenzy.
Rasel joined as bowling coach at the Masco-Shakib Cricket Academy in September 2021. He will, however, take up a head coach position in the United States this time.
He is currently taking part in a level-two coaching course organised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The six-day course will end on 2 June.

The veteran has three seasons of experience with the Bangladeshi-owned academy's club. That was one of the reasons Rasel was chosen for the part.
The former pacer will be in this phase for three months and will return to the country on September 30.
"The academy also have a team. I have played in this team for three years. As the head coach, I will be coaching at the academy five days a week. I am leaving on 26 June and will stay there for three months." Rasel said.
"For the first time, I will be the head coach. I will work as the head coach there and have to supervise everything,” he added.
Aftab Ahmed, another former Bangladesh cricketer, has also been offered a coaching position in the United States. He will be the coach of the Bangladeshi-owned Atalanta Fire.
