BCB planning to host Asia Cup 2025 in Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium

International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman Greg Barclay has arrived in Dhaka for a two-day visit on Sunday.
During this two-day visit to Bangladesh, Barclay will visit Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. He will also visit the Sheikh Hasina International Cricket Stadium, which is under construction at Purbachal.
Bangladesh Cricket Board Media Committee Chairman Tanvir Ahmed Titu revealed that BCB is planning to host the 2025 Asia Cup at Sheikh Hasina Stadium.

“We are planning to host Asia Cup 2025 in this stadium. That’s how we have discussed with him (ICC Chairman). We are trying to start work as soon as possible. If we can accomplish that we can host the Asia Cup. We are working on it. This is what we have officially announced,” said Titu.
The ICC chairman is expected to watch the first session on the first day (May 23) of the second Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
"He will leave for Sylhet tomorrow at noon. He will watch the first session of the Bangladesh-Sri Lanka Test. He will then fly to Sylhet. He will return after a short visit. Then, he will leave the next morning. '
After the visit, the ICC chairman will leave for Kolkata on the morning of May 24. This was stated in the statement sent by BCB.
