Apart from Rabada, Rahul Chahar and Rishi Dhawan bagged a couple of wicket each for Punjab.

After being invited to bat first Jonny Bairstow made a explosive start, then Liam Livingstone (70 off 42) carried on the good work as he hit RCB bowlers to all parts of the ground and beyond for his fifty in 35 balls, however, wickets sell at regular intervals from the other end.

Jonny Bairstow put on a show of hard-hitting batting as he has scored a half-century in just 21 balls to power Punjab Kings to 83/1, the highest score for any team in the powerplay this season.

Glenn Maxwell broke the 60-run partnership between Shikhar Dhawan for 21 off 15 balls and Bairstow. Wanindu Hasaranga struck in his first over to send back countryman Bhanuka Rajapaksa.

Bairstow was eventually dismissed for 66 off 29 balls by Shahbaz Ahmed.
