Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by eight runs to clinch their sixth win of the season. Hardik Pandya scored a half-century, but Gujarat were reduced to 156/9 in 20 overs by Tim Southee and Andre Russell. Kolkata responded by hitting 148 in 20 overs, with Andre Russell making a quick 48.
After Shubman Gill (7) and Wriddhiman Saha (25) struggled to get going against the Kolkata bowling line at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai, GT skipper Pandya made his third straight half-century.

However, after Hardik was dismissed for 67, the momentum changed in Kolkata's favor.
Gujarat Titans were reduced to 156/9 after Tim Southee took three wickets and Andre Russell took four in the 20th over.
Gujarat Titans captain Pandya has returned after missing the last game. Vijay Shankar, the all-rounder, was replaced by him. Aaron Finch, Pat Cummins, and Sheldon Jackson were replaced by Tim Southee, Sam Billings, and Rinku Singh for KKR.
Kolkata, the two-time IPL champions, have dropped to seventh place in the points table after three consecutive losses.
Gujarat, on the other hand, has only lost one game so far in the 10-team tournament and is now in second place.
