Mohammedan to miss DPL Super League

Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited missed out on a spot in the Super League of the Dhaka Premier League, despite winning their last round-robin game against Legends of Rupganj on Friday.
In the other two matches, Brothers Union beat Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity by 13 runs. While, Sheikh Jamal defeated City Club by 53 runs in a low-scoring match.
Mohammedan vs Rupganj

Kusal Mendis starred in Mohammedan's 80 runs win against Rupganj but in the end, it was not enough to confirm a Super League berth.
Chasing 308 runs, Rupganj were dismissed for 227 in 49.1 overs with Mohammedan left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam taking five wickets for 35 runs in his 10 overs, including two maidens. Naeem Islam top-scored for Rupganj with 80 runs.
Mohammedan posted 307 before getting all out in 47.5 overs, Sri Lankan batter Kusal struck 91-ball 101, which featured seven fours and four sixes.
Opener Parvez Hossain Emon (76 off 68) and captain Mahmudullah (70 off 47) struck quickfire fifties to take Mohammedan to a good total.
Rupganj left-arm seamer Mehedi Hasan Rana bagged four wickets.
