Lucknow clinch first ever IPL win after beating Chennai

Indian Premier League match between Lucknow Super Giants and Chennai Super Kings have produced an exiting one as Lucknow winning by six wickets on Thursday.


With three balls to spare, Lucknow completed the 211-run chase, which was the fourth-highest in the competition's history.


Ayush Badoni, the Lucknow superstar, hit the winning runs, while Evin Lewis, who also went undefeated, produced a match-winning 23-ball 55 with six fours and three sixes.

In the last over of the Lucknow innings, bowled by Shivam Dube, the game took a turn. In his final over, the medium-pacer gave up 25 runs, leaving youngster Mukesh Choudhary to defend 9 runs.


Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo created history in the contest as he dismissed Deepak Hooda 13 (8) to become the leading wicket-taker in the history of the tournament.


Quinton de Kock also played a key role at the top, scoring 61 runs off 45 balls before being dismissed by Dwaine Pretorius.


CSK had been invited to bat first earlier in the evening, and Robin Uthappa and Shivam Dube helped them pile up 210/7.


In response, LSG have had a strong start, with KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock putting on a 99-run partnership for the first wicket. On a score of 40, Rahul was removed (26).
