Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Dwayne Bravo achieved a unique milestone in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Saturday (March 26).
Bravo took three wickets against KKR to complete 170 wickets in his IPL career and joined Sri Lanka’s legendary pacer Lasith Malinga on top of the list of highest wicket-takers of all time in the history of the IPL.
Bravo bagged the all-important wicket of KKR, he removed opener Venkatesh Iyer during Kolkata's run chase of the 132-run target set by the defending IPL champions. Then, the all-rounder got the wicket of premier batter Nitish Rana and Sam Billings to complete his three-wicket haul in the low-scoring contest.
Malinga picked up 170 wickets in 122 matches while Bravo reached the milestone in 151 IPL matches.
KKR defeated CSK comfortably by six wickets in the season opener at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai to get off to a winning start in the tournament.
