Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has joined veteran Mashrafe Mortaza as the most away wickets by a Bangladeshi bowler.
Tigers won a series in South Africa 2-1 for the first time, defeating the hosts by 9 wickets. The southpaw grabbed two wickets and made a handful impact in the overall brilliant performance by Bangladesh.
Shakib has now equaled former captain Mashrafe with 122 wickets to become the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in away countries.

Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak (85) is third on the list while Mustafizur Rahman (73) and Mohammad Rafique (65) are fourth and fifth respectively.
Taskin Ahmed made a record by acquiring five wickets in the third ODI against South Africa. He has become the fourth Bangladesh pacer to take fifer in away countries.
Earlier, Mashrafe took six wickets against Kenya back in 2006 in Nairobi, Ziaur Rahman took five wickets against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo 2014 and Abu Jayed Rahi took five wickets against Ireland in 2019.
