South Africa's captain Temba Bavuma has claimed the conditions at the Wanderers Stadium helped them beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the second One-Day International today, leveling the three-match series at 1-1.
In the first ODI in Centurion, Bangladesh's seamers outlasted the high-profile host pacers, guiding the Tigers to their first away win in South Africa but Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi made a tremendous comeback at The Wanderers today [Sunday], dismantling the Tigers' top-order and reduced them to 34 for five at one point.

"These conditions are different from Centurion as the conditions here are a lot truer," Bavuma said to give credit his pacers for their inspiring bowling display.

"Fortunately, the bowlers up front did a good job and we were not put under pressure. We will take forward the confidence and momentum from this game into the final game [on Wednesday in Centurion]," he hoped.
The Player of the match Rabada, who is a five-wicket haul from the game, echoed the skipper’s ton and said The Wanderers' conditions were a benefit for the hosts.
"After the first wicket where it hit a crack and reared up, we felt we were in. In the recent past, the Wanderers has given extra bounce with the new ball and not much thereafter but there was variable bounce today. With the ball gripping, our seamers did well to utilise it," Rabada said.
