Miraz embracing Shakib’s role but doing it his own way

Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal has praised his bowlers to produced magic in their historic win on South Africa’s soil for the first time after 20 years across any format.
Tigers clinched victory by 38 runs after a strong batting display by Shakib al Hasan, Liton Das and Yasir Ali as they help to put up a huge total of 314 runs.
After that South Africa were restricted to 36 for three in the ninth over as Shoriful Islam sent back Janneman Malan and Taskin Ahmed got rid of Kyle Verreynne and Aiden Markram in the same over.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who caused Tamim some problems after an expensive opening spell, finished with four wickets, including David Miller's, who was the last hope for the hosts.

But Taskin was Bangladesh's best bowler, with figures of 3 for 36.
“It is a big win for us. Special win. Starting from Liton, then Shakib and Yasir batted brilliantly. A six and a four from Miraz. Those quick 25 runs from Mahmudullah. It is a big thing for us. Our fast bowlers are winning games for us,” Tamim said after the match.
“Last two years the fast bowlers are doing brilliantly. You need a character like Mehidy in every team. After going for 40 from 4 overs, he went up to me and asked to bowl. He said he will change the game. He was my Man of the Match. Definitely, we need to give ourselves the best chance. SA are a quality side. They would be eager to bounce back” he added.
On the other hand, Proteas captain Temba Bavuma blamed himself for getting out when early during the big chase and also said Bangladesh put extra 40 runs on board which made the difference between two teams.
"It was hard after conceding 180 in the last 20 overs. There's a lot of conversations for us to have with the bowling unit. There was a sense of control after the first ten overs... Normally, we generally know what we want to do, we are good in adapting to the conditions. We took longer to do that. We were happy chasing 270-280. Those extra 40 runs were the difference in the end. When you are chasing over 300, you need someone to get a hundred and someone to support them. My dismissal was an untimely one. With Rassie [van der Dussen] and David [Miller]in, we were in with a shout. Conversations with the batters also need to be had. There was variable [bounce] with the back of the length. They showed character." Bavuma said.
