Bangladesh women’s team captain Nigar Sultana was thrilled to play against Pakistan and eyeing their first win at the Women’s ODI World Cup.

Bangladesh has won the highest number of ODIs against Pakistan. In 11 matches, the Tigresses won 5 and were defeated six times.

"Honestly, we know them very well. We have played against Pakistan a lot of time. We have a very good idea about them. I think it is our good chance for first win in World Cup," said Nigar.

"The way the girls have played in the last two matches was great. Maybe the result didn't work out for us. However, we have improved a lot in the two matches. The bowlers did well against South Africa and the batters were excellent against New Zealand. If we can implement our batting and bowling plan, it will be a great match,” she said.

The Bangladesh captain believes the wicket will remain the same in their third World Cup clash.

"We played in Nelson and Dunedin. I guess the wicket will be the same. I also watched a few matches here. I think the wicket will be good,” she added.
