Rahmanullah Gurbaz's century buoyed Afghanistan to register a comprehensive 7-wicket win in the final ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Monday.


Bangladesh have missed out important ten points in the Super League after reaching top of the table with 100 points in the last game. 


Chasing a mediocre target of 193, Gurbaz smashed an unbeaten 106 off 110 balls, hitting 7 fours and 4 sixes. The visitors reached the target in 40.1 overs and seven wickets in hand.


Afghanistan openers put on 79 runs for the opening partnership, then Shakib al Hasan gave the breakthrough after toiling 15.3 overs. 


Following the dismissal of Riaz Hassan on 35 off 49, Gurbaz added a hundred-run partnership with Rahmat Shah (47), who missed half-century for three runs.

Earlier, Liton Das smashed a half-century as Bangladesh scored 192 losing all wickets in 46.5 overs after opting to bat first.


Bangladesh openers led to a decent start as Liton added 43 runs with Tamim Iqbal for the opening stand. Despite the skipper's early dismissal on 11, Liton lead the side from the front.


Tamim was removed by Fazalhaq Farooqi for the third time in the ongoing series. Shakib al Hasan came to the crease to construct a 61-run partnership with Liton to rebuild. Azmatullah Omarzai, then castled Shakib on 30 off 36 deliveries with three boundaries.


Following the wicket, Bangladesh kept losing wickets in quick successions, however, last match centurion Liton held his willow up. As he went on to hit his fourth ODI fifty and stitched a 28-run stand with Mahmudullah. Liton scored 86 off 113 balls which featured 7 fours before getting removed by Mohammad Nabi.


Mahmudullah remained unbeaten on 29 facing 53 balls without hitting any boundaries.


Rashid Khan took three wickets and Nabi picked up a couple of wickets for the visitors.


Following the ODI series, the two teams will play the two-match T20I series on 3 and 5 March respectively.
