In today's second ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, Bangladesh players made a sporting gesture that allowed Afghanistan batter Rahmat Shah survive a run-out.
The incident happened in the game's 17th over. Just in the previous delivery, Najibullah Zadran was dropped by Shoriful Islam off Shakib Al Hasan. And in the very next ball when Zadran smashed one straight towards the stumps, Shakib, while attempting to stop it, seemingly had his finger touch the ball.

The ball went on to hit the stumps and non-striker Rahmat, who was considerably out of his crease, was given out by the umpire. Shakib, confused whether he had touched the ball or not, revoked his decision. The decision was eventually overturned by the third umpire, who likewise ruled in Rahmat's favor.

Bangladeshi players, on the other hand, decided to overturn the third umpire's decision because Shakib was unsure if he had his fingers on the ball.
Thanks to the sporting gesture by the Tigers, Rahmat went on to pull up his fourth ODI fifty. The right-handed opener, however, was removed in the 25th over following a 71-ball 52.
