Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to use Decision Review System (DRS) in the upcoming Afghanistan series. It was confirmed by the BCB media committee chairman Tanvir Ahmed Titu during the sponsorship announcement of the Bangladesh-Afghanistan series on Sunday.


BCB announced Ispahani as the title sponsor of the Bangladesh-Afghanistan series and Walton will be the powered sponsor of the tournament. The series has been named 'Ispahani Bangladesh-Afghanistan Series-2022, powered by Walton.'

“Yes, DRS has been decided to be used. DRS was supposed to be used in the last part of BPL. But those who run the DRS could not attend. However, DRS operators will be available in the Afghanistan series and DRS will be used from the Chittagong phase,” said Titu.

Titu further said the spectators might be allowed in the upcoming series, he said, “we want to have at least 50 percent spectators. According to the government guidelines, there could be at least 3-4 thousand spectators in Chittagong and at least five thousand in Dhaka,”


“If the government allows at least 50 percent of the spectators can get a chance to watch the game. Otherwise, there will be 3-4 thousand spectators in Chittagong and 5-6 thousand in Dhaka,” he added.
