Chattogram Challengers have eliminated Khulna Tigers from Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2022 in Mirpur as Ctg beat KT by seven runs.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz helped Chattogram Challengers win the BPL Eliminator with a brilliant last over, surrendering only eight runs when 16 runs were needed for Khulna Tigers to win.

For the final over, Khulna had a well-set Andre Fletcher and the usually rampaging Thisara Perera at the crease.

However, off-spinner Mehidy consistently hammered the blockhole, leaving Fletcher and Thisara with no choice except to whack the ball straight to midwicket many times.

Mehidy improved his accuracy even more after Fletcher hit a four off the fourth ball, and Fletcher fell to a skier off the last ball. Mehidy eagerly embraced the catch.

Fletcher and Yasir Ali had pushed Khulna near to the 190-run goal in overs 17 and 18, which went for 13 and 19 runs respectively, and Khulna would consider themselves unlucky.
