Chattogram Challengers qualified for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) play-offs, defeating Sylhet Sunrisers by four wickets in the high-scoring match on Saturday.

Will Jack’s unbeaten 91 powered Chattogram to chase the target of 186 runs in 19.1 overs. Top scorer Jacks smashed 8 fours and 4 sixes to score 91 in 57 balls.

Chadwick Walton and Shamim Hossain scored 35 and 21 in the middle respectively.

Sylhet Sunrisers posted 185 for six wickets in 20 overs after being sent to bat first. Openers made a brisk start as Anamul Haque (32) and Colin Ingram (24) put on 41 runs for the opening stand.

Then Lendl Simmons smashed 42 off 27 to add 54 runs with controversial captain Ravi Bopara for the third wicket. Bopara hit two fours and four sixes to score 44 in 21 balls.

Mosaddek Hossain also played a stormy innings of 35 in 22 deliveries aided by three fours and two sixes at the close of their innings.

Mrittunjoy Chowdhury scalped three wickets while Shoriful Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took one wicket each for Chattogram.
