After Mustafizur Rahman’s fifer, Comilla Victorians’ Liton Das and Imrul Kayes lead them to a nine-wicket victory (D/L method) against Chattogram Challengers in Mirpur Thursday. Liton and skipper Imrul both have grabbed fifty.
While Mustafizur's five for 27 in four overs helped Comilla restrict Chattogram to 138 for eight, Kayes and Liton put on a blistering 138-run opening stand to enable Comilla over the finish line with nine balls to spare in an 18-over-a-side contest.

After being asked to bat first, Chattogram looked solid after an early setback, with Will Jacks' half-century and solid batting performances from Afif Hossain (27 off 21) and Shamim Hossain (26 off 22) guiding their side to 107 for two in 12.5 overs before rain stopped play.
When the game resumed, Mustafizur took the important wickets of Will Jacks (57 off 37) and Shamim in the same over, swinging the game in Comilla's favor.
Imrul and Liton, the Victorians' openers, responded with all guns blazing. Imrul was the driving force behind the surge, scoring 81 off only 62 deliveries in a knock that included six fours and five maximums.
Liton, on the other hand, hammered a 37-ball 53 that included four boundaries and three sixes before succumbing to Mirttunjoy Chowdhury in the 17th over. However, at that time, the batter had completed his task, as Comilla were already on the approach of victory.
Imrul smashed a boundary and a maximum after Liton's exit to round up the chase in style.
