Former Bangladesh coach Jamie Siddons will arrive in the country tomorrow [February 2] to work as a batting consultant for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The BCB has hired Siddons for a two-year contract, and he was supposed to start his second tenure with the board today.
Siddons' appointment was confirmed by the BCB on December 24 of last year, but the board did not provide any details regarding his job or the team with which he would be affiliated.

“He is scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh tomorrow at 4:40 pm. After reaching the hotel and after two Covid negative tests, he will join us. We will let you know how he will work when these are finalized from Cricket Operations,” BCB Tanvir Ahmed Titu told the media.
However, BCB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus told several media that the board is planning to include him in the national set-up.
From 2007 to 2011, Siddons served as the Tigers' head coach. He had previously worked with and groomed players such as Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Shakib Al Hasan.
Bangladesh will host Afghanistan for three One-Day Internationals and two Twenty-20 Internationals later this month.
Bangladesh will begin practicing for the Afghanistan series after the current Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final on February 18.
