Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has raised questions over the selection process of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief besides the decision to reduce teams in domestic cricket.
Hafeez criticized the procedure of appointment of Ramiz Raja as the chairman of PCB. stating the chairman of the board should be elected through proper elections.
“The present process is not correct because presently the chairman PCB was elected under a selection system and the procedure for selection of PCB chairman is not right,” Hafeez said on Geo News.

“The chairman PCB comes on political grounds and the chairman who comes politically does not understand cricket at all,” he added.
He also criticized the PCB’s decision to reduce the number of teams in domestic cricket, saying the abolishment of the departmental and bank teams left many domestic cricketers jobless and without any future.
Hafeez played 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 119 T20 International matches for Pakistan.
