Quetta Gladiators have partially replaced Shahid Afridi, who is unavailable for the initial matches due to COVID-19, with left-arm orthodox Hassan Khan.
The partial replacement has been approved by Event Technical Committee, which is headed by Zakir Khan (Director – International Cricket Operations) and includes Nadeem Khan (Director – High Performance) and Sameer Khosa.

Shahid Afridi had tested positive for COVID-19 just before the start of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Quetta Gladiators had signed Lala for what is going to be his last PSL tournament.
Hassan is one of the reserve players who are part of the managed environment, so it is not necessary for him to complete the 3-day isolation period to join the squad.
Quetta is currently fourth on the PSL table from two games. They suffered a loss against Peshawar Zalmi in the opening game of the tournament but bounced back in the second to defeat Karachi Kings.
Sarfaraz led side still has three more games in the first leg of the PSL as they will go against Multan Sultans on January 31, Islamabad United on February 3, and Lahore Qalandars on February 7.
