Bangladesh women thrash Scotland by nine wickets

Bangladesh women crushed Scotland to register a nine-wicket win in the group match of the Commonwealth Games Women's Cricket Qualifiers on Saturday.
Bangladesh chased down the modest target of 78 runs in 15.2 overs with nine wickets in hand.

Chasing 78 runs, Murshida Khatun smashed an unbeaten 50 off 55 which featured 6 fours and a six and Fargana Hoque scored 20 with a single boundary.
Kathryn Emma Bryce picked up the only wicket of the innings when she removed Shamima Sultana (0) in the first very first ball.
Earlier, Bangladesh bundled Scotland for 77 in 17.3 overs, with Salma Khatun, Suraiya Azmin, Nahida Akter and Sanjida Alter scalping two wickets each.
Sarah Bryce top-scored with 29 off 32 deliveries aided by two fours for Scotland but they lost their last seven wickets within 27 runs in quick successions and eventually set the target of 78 runs.
