Malaysia were reduced to 49 for nine in 20 overs by the Tigresses, who were only a wicket away from dismissing their opponents.

Rumana Ahmed and Suraiya Azmin each took two wickets, while Salma Khatun, Nahida Akter, and Ritu Moni each took just one.

In response, Bangladesh cruised to victory thanks to a 38-run opening stand between Shamima Sultana and Murshida Khatun.

Shamima's 28-run knock off 19 balls included four boundaries and a maximum.
