NZ bowlers dominate to skittle Bangladesh for 126 at stumps

Bangladesh scored 126 runs in reply to New Zealand's 521/6d in the first innings during the second Test at Hagley Oval, Christchurch on Monday. 


Trent Boult scalped his landmark 300th Test wicket and picked up a fifer to trouble Bangladesh in the first innings, he finished with five wickets conceding 43 runs with three maidens in his 13.2 overs.


Yasir Ali Rabbi, who top scored for the side with a half-century and Nurul Hasan Shohan made 41. While the other batters failed to cross the double digits.

Yasir picked up his maiden Test fifty but his 95-ball 55 could not truly help the Tigers. 


Bangladesh found themselves in deep trouble when they were reduced to 11-4 in just 6.1 overs on Day 2. Then, Nurul Hasan Sohan and Yasir made a 60-run partnership for the sixth wicket.


Sohan fell short of nine runs to reach the 50-run mark as he departed on 41 when he was set up for a leg before by Southee. 


New Zealand resumed on 349-1, skipper Tom Latham smashed his second Test double ton and Devon Conway hit his third Test century to set a mammoth total for the hosts. 


Latham scored 252 off 373 deliveries while Conway scored a 166-ball 109.
