Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is going to kick off on January 21 as the franchises have already started organizing the teams ahead of the upcoming mega event. Meanwhile, English all-rounder Benny Howell has been included in Chattogram Challengers.

Howell has been seen in BPL before. Earlier, he played for Khulna Titans and Rangpur Raiders in this T20 league of Bangladesh. This time he will be seen in Chattogram jersey.

The Chattogram franchise has also picked Kennar Lewis a day earlier, who is a West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman.

Earlier, Bangladesh spinner Nasum Ahmed was attached with the franchise.

According to the rules of this year's BPL, the franchises will be able to recruit three foreign players and one local player from any category as a direct signing prior to the Players’ Draft.

A total of 34 matches will be held in this year's event. The entire tournament will be in a round-robin league format. Along with that, three play-offs and finals will be held.

The venues are Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong and Sylhet International Stadium.
