Omicron affected women cricketers return negative

Two women cricketers of the Bangladesh National team have returned negative in the Covid-19 test on Monday. Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) chief physician Dr. Debashish Chowdhury confirmed to media.
The two cricketers were found to be infected by the new strain of Covid-19 called Omicron following their return from Zimbabwe after the Women's Cricket World Cup qualifiers 2022 was called off midway.
The two cricketers were also the first individuals to be infected with the new variant in the country. They were abiding by 14-day self-isolation after being tested positive.
"Both cricketers returned negative and they are okay. They will go back to their respective homes," Dr. Debashish told the media.
Earlier, the rest of the members were moved to the BCB Academy where they had undergone 14-day mandatory quarantine since returning to the country.
Followed by their latest Covid-19 test results where they all returned negative, they were allowed to go back to normal life.
