The draft of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to take place on Sunday, December 12 and Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier confirmed that the tournament will start at January 2022, instead of its conventional slot of February-March.

Although the final date for the start of the championship is yet to be announced, as per sources, the PSL will kickstart from either January 26 or January 27.

The PSL franchise owners also agreed to the tournament being held in January because Emirates Premier League (EPL) is also set to commence in January-February. After the end of the PSL, the players can take part in the EPL.

It was anticipated that PSL 7 draft might follow the auction model but sources have confirmed that the draft phase will not see any changes for the 2022 season.

2nd Pick — Multan Sultans

3rd Pick — Karachi Kings

4th Pick — Islamabad United
