Pakistan announced their 12-member squad for the first T20I that included young talents like Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Wasim Jnr.

“Momentum always matters in cricket. We would like to carry the momentum of the T20 world cup. We would like to test our bench strength here and this is the reason why we have changed four players in our 12-player squad for the first game against Bangladesh,” said Babar.

Babar also said the visitors are wary of Bangladesh's dominance at home, even though they failed to secure a win in five games in the Super 12s in the UAE.

“Bangladesh is not an easy opponent, especially in their home conditions, and they have shown against New Zealand and Australia in recent past what they are capable of," he added.
