Tamim ruled out of Pakistan series

Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the upcoming Pakistan series owing to a left thumb injury, it was confirmed by the opening batter to Cricfrenzy on Sunday.
Tamim was expected to make a comeback with the NCL, but the batter suffered a thumb injury during the Everest Premier League (EPL) which ruled him out for two weeks.
On Friday, Tamim came to the practice where he felt he was not comfortable facing quick bowlers but was at ease with spin bowling.
After undergoing an X-ray on Sunday, another fracture was found on his thumb which compelled him to stay outside the field.
"I have done an X-ray today and found another fracture on the same left thumb. So have to stop moving my finger and the whole process starts again" Tamim said.
It also leads him to uncertainty for the New Zealand Test series in January 2022.
Tamim was last seen to play for Bangladesh in the one-day series against Zimbabwe in July. The ODI captain sustained a knee injury during the ODI series and had to return home.
Bangladesh and Pakistan will play their first T20I on November 19 at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The second and third Twenty20 Internationals will be held on November 20 and 22.
The two Tests will be in Chattogram (November 26-30) and in Dhaka (December 4-8).
