Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan and veteran Shoaib Malik might miss the semi-final clash against Australia due to illness. Malik and Rizwan did not partake in the practice session that was held today [Wednesday].
Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) media manager, Ibrahim Badis, informed Cricfrenzy that Malik-Rizwan seemed to have low fever. However, both returned negative in the corona test. PCB management will wait till the very last minute for positive feedback.

"Malik and Rizwan did not show up at practice today since they have a mild fever. However, they've returned negative in the corona test. They are currently being monitored by a physician. They'll be tested again tomorrow at 11 a.m. Hopefully, they will recover, and the team management will wait for them till the end."
Former skipper Sarfaraz was seen giving it his all during the session. He might replace Rizwan in the XI, while Fakhar Zaman could open the innings against the Aussies. Haider Ali would likely step in for Malik.
Pakistan will suffer a huge blow if they are without the duo in their important game as experience Malik had smashed 54 runs from 18 balls against Scotland, the joint-fastest half-century in the tournament. While, Rizwan is also in great form, scored 214 runs including two half-centuries in the current edition.
Pakistan will lock horns against Australia at Dubai International Stadium on Thursday.
