Khawaja wants resumption of Indo-Pak bilateral series

The cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan is still one of the most heated in the globe. Both countries have a lengthy history of deteriorating political relations, which has heightened tensions even more.
Despite their intense rivalry, neither country has played a bilateral series since 2012. The previous tour occurred in 2007, when Pakistan visited India.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced in 2014 that they had reached a deal with the BCCI to play six bilateral series over the following eight years. The BCCI, on the other hand, refused to honor the deal, claiming that they had not received consent from the Indian government.
Australian cricketing star, Usman Khawaja, recently spoke about the matter and claimed that he misses the India-Pakistan contest the most in international cricket.
"The thing I miss most about international cricket are India versus Pakistan matches. I hate that it doesn’t happen anymore. It’s the biggest thing that cricket is missing & it will be amazing if we can get those two countries to play again," he said.
Pakistan's record against India in bilateral series remains commmendable; the men in green have won more Test matches and ODIs compared to their fierce rivals. However, their performances in ICC tournaments remain abysmal with India winning 13 out of the 17 matches played on the grand stage.
