The newly-appointed Sri Lanka U-19 coach Avishka Gunawardene believes the upcoming tour will provide an opportunity to return to international cricket.

“The upcoming series will give the U19 team an opportunity to play international cricket after a while, and help us to work on finding the right combination to play in the U19 World Cup in 2022,’’ said the coach.

Bangladesh U-19 side recently completed a full series against Afghanistan, where the Tigers clinched the ODI series 3-2 respectively. Sri Lanka will be their second assignment for young Tigers.

Bangladesh will lock horns against Sri Lanka in the first ODI on October 15, following the rest of the matches will be played on 18, 20, 23, and 25 October.
