Umpire Nadir Shah passes away

Former cricketer and ICC panel umpire Nadir Shah passed away on Friday morning at the age of 57 after battling prolonged cancer.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Ahmed Sajjadul Alam Bobby wrote on social media, "Nadir Shah (1964-2021). The man we love, the incomparable Nadir Shah is no more. I wish peace to his departed soul."
Nadir officiated in six Tests, 63 ODIs and three T20I and was regarded as one of the finest umpires and popular figures in the cricketing fraternity.
He also appeared for a host of famous clubs in the Dhaka League, including Abahani, Mohammedan, Biman, Brothers Union, Surjo Tarun, Kalabagan, Azad Boys and Dhanmondi.
Nadir Shah officiated in his first international match (Bangladesh against Kenya) in March 2006. He worked as a TV umpire in six Tests and 23 One-Day Internationals.
He had also umpired in 73 first-class matches, 127 List A matches, and 54 T20 games (five as TV Umpire).
