Chandimal returns as SLC announces squad against SA

Dinesh Chandimal has been recalled to the Sri Lankan squad as SLC named 22 players for the forthcoming limited-overs series against South Africa. Kusal Perera is also a member of the team, having completed his isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.
Since the West Indies tour in March-April of this year, Chandimal has not played for Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan team will be captained by Dasun Shanaka, with Dhananjaya de Silva as his deputy.
Newcomers include Lahiru Madushanka, Mahesh Theekshana, and Pulina Tharanga.
From September 2 to 14, South Africa will play three ODIs and as many T20Is in Sri Lanka, with all matches taking place at the Premadasa stadium in Colombo.
This is both sides' final international match before the T20 World Cup.
