Mushfiq-Liton returns as BCB announce squad for the NZ series

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the squad for the five-match T20 series 2021 against New Zealand, starting from September 1.
Wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Das and leg-spinner Aminul Islam Biplob have returned to the squad after opting out of the Australia tour.

Mushfiqur did not play against Aussie due to the quarantine complications and Liton did not play citing family reasons. While Biplob who was in the Zimbabwe squad had to return to the country from the series due to the death of his father.
Mohammad Mithun and Tamim were not included in the squad, the ODI captain Tamim has been suffering from a knee injury.
The first match of the series will commence on September 1. The remaining four matches will be played on September 3, 5, 8 and 10. All the matches will be staged at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
