Batting consultant Ashwell Prince was not with the Bangladesh team in the ongoing five-match T20 series against Australia. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is hopeful of getting him in the upcoming New Zealand series.
Akram Khan, chairman of the BCB's cricket operations committee, confirmed that the deal with Prince is almost final. Earlier, the BCB had appointed Prince only for a tour of Zimbabwe.
“Almost everything is done. In Sha Allah he will be with us in the New Zealand series” said Akram.

Earlier, BCB had said they are hopeful of extending the contract of their South African batting consultant Prince till the end of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 which will be held in the UAE and Oman.
Prince and Rangana Herath both were appointed as the batting and spin bowling consultant respectively in early June.
Herath was contracted till the end of the T20 World Cup 2021.
