Bangladesh set to do conditioning camp in Oman before T20 WC

Bangladesh is scheduled to leave for Oman 6-7 days before the start of the T20 World Cup 2021, which is set to begin on October 17 in Oman and UAE, respectively. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Cricket Operations Manager Akram Khan stated that the Tigers will hold a conditioning camp there for a week.
Akram told Cricfrenzy that Bangladesh will also play few warm-up games before the T20 World Cup, then the Tigers will participate in the qualifiers which will be held in Oman.
“We have already informed that we would be visiting Oman, 6-7 days before. We'll start practicing there. Of course, there is a game plan. As soon as this series concludes, I will discuss it with the coaches. Because they will be outside of the bio-bubble at that moment. We'll make a decision after consulting with them. I informed them that we would be leaving early.
Akram could not yet confirm which team will play the warm-up match against the Tigers, “We will discuss it; it cannot be said right now. Let's see what sort of squad they can put together, and what kind of team we'll be playing with. However, that will be confirmed following the discussion with Oman.”
He also said that if the national team could play few warm-up matches in Oman a week before the World Cup, it would be easier to adapt to the wicket and conditions.
“If we get to camp in Oman before the World Cup and play some matches, it will be better to adapt to the wicket and the weather. Overall, I think the preparation will be very good,” he added.
