Bangladesh's opener Soumya Sarkar 49-ball 68 inspired Bangladesh to a 194-run chase and a five-wicket victory to win the series 2-1. The left handed batsman said he had to wait for the ideal moment to lead Bangladesh's chase in the third and final T20I against Zimbabwe on Sunday.
Soumya was named Man of the Match for his heroics in the third game, which included two key wickets yielding 19 runs in three overs.
“The ball was behaving unpredictably in the beginning. So I thought to not force myself to score runs but wait. I waited for the right time to go after the ball and for a big over for the momentum to shift to us. I was also trying to hit a boundary in every over,” said Soumya.

“The most important thing for me is that I perform for the team. I do not think much of my position [in the team] but focus on giving my best in the middle,” he added.
Soumya also praised the match-winning effort from newcomer Shamim Hossain. Shamim played an unbeaten innings of 31 off 15 balls with six fours.
“Shamim played an important role. The good thing I felt about him was that he was positive the whole time he was batting and showed the hunger to win the game for the team. It was fun to see him play and despite it being his second game he has successfully produced a match-winning effort.” Soumya added.
Bangladesh will return home with a hat-trick of trophies from Zimbabwe, having won the lone Test and three-match ODI series.
