Lahore Qalandars pick Shakib Al Hasan for last part of PSL 2025

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and all six franchises of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have unanimously decided to hold the next edition of the league in January and February next year.
The decision to propone the event has been taken due to Australia’s tour of Pakistan in February and March 2022. The January-February period isn't free either, because the BBL will start in Australia, and a number of premier T20 players are expected to be unavailable.

There is also the issue of the weather in the Punjab province of Pakistan, which tends to be foggy in winter. To deal with the weather, the PCB has decided to start the PSL in Karachi, which is ion the Sind province, in January, and then travel to Lahore, in Punjab, in February, when it is likely to be more conducive.
“In January the weather in Karachi is decent and in early February we can shift the tournament to Punjab but we still need to do planning in this regard,” said PCB CEO Wasim Khan.
The last two editions of PSL were badly disrupted by the pandemic, sources said the PCB would be hiring the services of a UK company — as it did during the second leg of the T20 league in Abu Dhabi.
The PCB has confirmed that it is presently working at a framework for the evaluation of the rights and their subsequent sale. The PCB is expected to hire an independent consultant to evaluate the value of the brand. In the last cycle, the PCB had secured a 358% rise in the broadcast deal, worth approximately USD 36 million.
