By the end of June, the International Cricket Council will make a definitive decision on the T20 World Cup venue.
The ICC urged the management at its Board meeting on Tuesday, which was attended by BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly, to focus their preparations on holding the tournament in the UAE, with the potential of including another Middle Eastern venue.

"A final decision on the host country will be taken later this month. The Board also confirmed that the BCCI will remain the hosts of the event regardless of where the event is played," the ICC said in a statement.
The BCCI notified its member units at its Special General Meeting on Saturday that it will require a month from the world body to decide on the World T20 destination.
In Tuesday’s meeting, the BCCI has informed the ICC that a tax waiver of approximately Rs 900 crore for the World T20 is being discussed with the government.
