Sri Lanka right-arm fast bowler Shiran Fernando was the only member who tested positive for Covid-19 from the Sri Lankan contingent. However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physician Monjurul Hossain Chowdhury informed the media that he tested negative for the virus on Wednesday [26].
Three members of the Sri Lankan cricket team tested positive in the first tests on Saturday including all-rounder Isuru Udana and bowling coach Chaminda Vaas and Shiran.

Later, the trio had undergone a second test and reports from the second test indicated that only Fernando is affected and has to be self-isolated.
Shiran was instructed to stay in isolation and it took three days for him to turn negative after having tested positive on Sunday.
Bangladesh won the first ODI by 33 runs and beat Sri Lanka by 103 runs (D/L method) in the second ODI of the three-match series. The third ODI is set to played on May 28.
