Bangladesh have won two consecutive matches of three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka as the Tigers secured the second ODI of the series by 103 runs against the Lankan Lions by D/L method. Even after such a victory, Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal is not completely satisfied.
Several catches and fielding were missed in this match. Tamim said he would have been happy as a captain if the team could have taken these. Besides, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs.
“Luckily we won two games and we're happy we won the series. We haven't played the perfect game yet, hoping we can in the third game. We lost a lot of wickets and 200 was looking difficult at one point, Mushy's innings was really good, Riyad chipped in as well. It was an ok ok total we posted, the wicket played well,”

“We still haven't nailed it yet. Before the series I told the team we have to step up our fielding. You take some catches and drop some, but it's the ones you drop that can turn and win matches. It was required today but it's crucial to take such catches,” said Tamim at the presentation.

Moreover, in the second ball of the 47th over of Bangladesh's innings, a bounced ball from Dushmantha Chameera hit Saifuddin on the head. After that he ran for a quick single but didn’t succeed. He was run out on a direct throw by Kusal Mendis and returned to the dressing room.
Taskin Ahmed had replaced him as concussion sub. Tamim thinks it is difficult to play at sudden point of the game. However, Tamim is quite happy with the performance of the bowling unit.
“The way Shoriful bowled and Taskin came in as a concussion sub, it's not easy to bowl suddenly, he showed character. Spinners Miraz and Shakib were brilliant” he added.
However, this was the first ever bilateral ODI series win against the visitors.
