Bangladesh team leader Khaled Mahmud Sujon has contracted corona virus on Saturday [May 22], as a result, he is unable to join the team that is going to start the series against Sri Lanka.
He is in isolation at home after being infected with the virus. Sujon observed mild symptoms of virus as was feeling cold for several days.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told Cricfrenzy that Sujan was unable to join the team due to physical illness.
"I have the information that he was supposed to join the team. However, he was unable to attend due to physical illness. We have not yet confirmed whether it is due to corona " he said.
Meanwhile, it is being speculated that someone else may be seen as the team leader of the Bangladesh team as Sujan has been ruled out.
