Two bookies were arrested and sent into police custody after they illegally entered the stadium using accreditation cards during the IPL 2021 match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday in Delhi.
News agency ANI confirmed the matter on Wednesday, revealing both bookies were charged under various sections of the law for illegally entering the stadium

"Two bookies arrested and sent to judicial custody for getting fake accreditation cards & entering Arun Jaitley Stadium illegally on May 2 during IPL match between Rajasthan Royals & SunRisers Hyderabad. FIR registered under relevant sections of IPC and Epidemic Diseases Act," news agency ANI tweeted.
According to the report, Krishan Garg from Swaroop Nagar and Manish Kansal from Jalandhar, Punjab were caught while attempting to enter the stadium’s VIP lounge during the RR vs SRH game.
The match between RR vs SRH has turned out to be the final clash in IPL 2021 as the tournament was suspended indefinitely due to rising COVID-19 cases inside IPL’s safe bio-bubble.
Kolkata Knight Riders’ Varun Chakaravarthy and Sandeep Warrier tested positive while three members of Chennai Super Kings, including bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji and batting coach Michael Hussey tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
