SL dominate the fourth day as Pallekele Test leading to draw

Sri Lanka have scored 512 runs losing three wickets against Bangladesh at stumps on day four during their first Test at Pallekelle International Cricket Stadium, Kandy.
The match stopped due to bad light. However, Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne hit a double ton and Dhananjaya de Silva crossed 150 runs which helped Sri Lanka to dominate the day four.
Right-handed batsman Karunaratne made a history by hitting a double century in Test cricket. This is the first double ton by a Lankan batsman against top-nine opposition since Sangakkara hit a double against New Zealand in 2015. He remained unbeaten on 234 runs off 419 deliveries with 25 boundaries.
Dhananjaya smashed his 7th Test hundred, he remained unbeaten on 154 runs off 278 balls with 20 boundaries at the close of the day.

Karunaratne added 322 runs for the fourth wicket with Dhananjaya, the highest fourth-wicket partnership by Sri Lanka at the Pallekele International Stadium.
Bangladesh bowlers had to stay wicket less for the whole day, and 4 sessions. Taskin Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam picked up one wicket each.
The hosts posted 229 in their first innings for three wickets at the end of the third day in reply to Bangladesh’s 541 runs.
Nazmul Hossain Shanto struck 163 and captain Mominul Haque made 127 during their first innings.
